Fondness of Clematis

inspiration, Photography, Thoughts / Friday, June 1st, 2012

For some, a clematis is just a flower,  but for me it is halting beauty, joy of learning, the simple comfort of a shared interest, and a small spark of passion ready to be ignited.  My “initiation” into the world of plants came through my mom, and in my teenage years I often accompanied her to garden shops where we would always stop to admire the vining clematis.  It may not be mother’s day, but why wait to share something that makes her special to you?

    1. I’m not 100% positive, but I think it is a rouge cardinal. I agree, it is always interesting to see the many stages each plant experiences through the course of its life. I especially love queen anne’s lace when it goes to seed. 🙂
